The Office Manager at Rose-Hulman Ventures will provideadministrative support for RHV including setting up new projects in thesystems, assisting with intern professional development, and managing processesfor facilities usage. Other administrative duties include organizing meetings,working with external stakeholders and sensitive information, and managing theoverall RHV work environment.
The position will manage the hiring process and payrollfor student interns which includes guiding students through the onboardingprocess; ensure faculty have met the requirements for working on RHV projectsand maintain records of intellectual property agreements; work closely with thestaff to manage the generation of purchase orders and check requests; reviewthe dual entry of PCard purchase reports to ensure that Concur data is completeand accurate. Additionally, the position will plan events for RHV andcoordinate with the main campus on Rose-Hulman events held at RHV.
Qualified candidates will have an associate or bachelor'sdegree and one to two years of administrative support experience. Varyingeducation / experience may be considered in lieu of the other. Must have stronganalytical, time management and superior office and resource organizationskills with the ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Must have strong attention to detail, thorough follow-through, and the abilityto maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Proficiency in Windowsapplications and Microsoft Office is required. Strong oral, written, andinterpersonal communication skills are necessary; the ability to relate to andcoordinate a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and community leadersis required. Must be able to exercise diplomacy in all facets of the position.
Preferred candidates will have an associate or bachelor'sdegree in business or accounting and five years of administrative supportexperience. Working experience and / or knowledge of higher education / non-profitenvironment and knowledge of and experience with Banner is preferred.
