What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Rose International?
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Jeffersonville, Ohio. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all production and quality goals are met through teamwork and clear communication.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the daily production function within a plant for a production line or specific area for one shift
- Supporting the achievement of operational KPIs, such as safety, quality, delivery, and waste
- Managing staffing for respective areas to meet ongoing production requirements and proactively escalating staffing shortages/surpluses
You will also be responsible for assessing subordinates' skill sets, current and future development needs, and taking steps to mentor and develop them appropriately. Additionally, you will manage the development, training, and implementation of standardized work, support and train teams to inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, conduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct associates, and plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or equivalent related experience, and 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader position. You should also have experience with leading direct reports, project management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
