Job Description

Our client is seeking a Point of Sale (POS) Manual Tester for a new POS being built on modern API and GUI technology. This is a POS testing position, where the candidate will be expected to test both remote and onsite in our POS Lab.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of common Systems Development Lifecycle methodologies, including Waterfall and iterative approaches like Agile / Scrum

• 3 years experience in testing / QA

• JIRA and ALM

• Basic Excel

• Strong Verbal and written communication

• Able to write and execute test cases and steps

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Retail/supply chain background is preferred

• POS testing background preferred

Point of Sale (POS) Manual Tester Responsibilities include:

• Write and execute detailed test cases

• Use of test management tools like HP Quality Center / ALM

• Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills with IT audiences

• Excels at working in a project environment and on cross-functional teams

• Consistently delivers day-to-day assignments with a high level of quality and attention to detail

• Independently develops key deliverables and publishes without supervisor review

• Proactively applies a systematic approach to data gathering and analysis to make key decisions that are supported by facts
