- The Client is hiring a Program Director for the Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) Surveillance Program. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program, grant and budget and ensuring that planned activities are implemented.
- The NAS Surveillance Program was established in 2013 when NAS was added to reportable disease list. In 2023 the program was awarded a 4-year Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant titled Pregnant People-Infant Linked Longitudinal Surveillance.
- The program has three main goals : 1) to expand surveillance capacity; 2) improve care coordination for infants and pregnant and postpartum people affected by substance use; and 3) collaborate with partners to improve the system of care for infants with NAS and their families.
