Job Description
***Only qualified candidates located near the Baton Rouge, LA area to be considered due to the position requiring onsite presence***
Required Degree:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
• 10 or more years’ experience with Software Engineering
• 5 or more years' experience with document management development including scanning, indexing, storage and disposition of records
• Knowledge of document management systems, experience with data entry, file organization, and familiarity with relevant compliance regulations
• Implementation of custom API processes
• Support of document capture software; Kofax Capture, IBM DataCap or similar
• ECRM implementation experience; Hyland OnBase, IBM FileNet, Oracle, MS SharePoint or other
• Strong analytical skills to identify current technology use and effectively recommend alternative solutions
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
• Experience with state government records management programs is a plus
• Experience with Office of Technology (OTS) Enterprise Architecture is desired
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
• Review current technology (hardware and software) used for managing agency records and recommend any changes needed to address inefficiencies, maintenance issues, scalability, recoverability, and security risk including:
-Agency scanning capability
-Document repository and indexing
-Identify all methods of document creation and acquisition
-Integration of other systems
-Searching, retrieving and sharing records both internal and external
-Tracking document lifecycle for both electronic and physical records
• Participate in all data gathering sessions
• Provide a gap analysis of current technology to future needs
• Estimate cost and effort of future state
