Senior Application Programmer

Primary Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Application Programmer for our premier client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Education And Experience »

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10 or more years’ experience with Software Engineering.
• 5 or more years' experience with document management development including scanning, indexing, storage and disposition of records.
• Knowledge of document management systems, experience with data entry, file organization, and familiarity with relevant compliance regulations.
• Implementation of custom API processes.
• Support of document capture software; Kofax Capture, IBM DataCap or similar.
• ECRM implementation experience; Hyland OnBase, IBM FileNet, Oracle, MS SharePoint or other.
• Strong analytical skills to identify current technology use and effectively recommend alternative solutions.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with state government records management programs is a plus.
• Experience with Office of Technology (OTS) Enterprise Architecture is desired.
  
  

What You’ll Do

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in all data gathering sessions.
• Provide a gap analysis of current technology to future needs.
• Estimate cost and effort of future state.
  
  

Review current technology (hardware and software) used for managing agency records and recommend any changes needed to address inefficiencies, maintenance issues, scalability, recoverability, and security risk including:

• Agency scanning capability.
• Document repository and indexing.
• Identify all methods of document creation and acquisition.
• Integration of other systems.
• Searching, retrieving and sharing records both internal and external.
• Tracking document lifecycle for both electronic and physical records.
