What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative - Base plus Commission position at ROSE PALLET?
Rose Pallet is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to expand our customer base and promote our Value-Based Pallet and Crating solutions. He/She will develop and maintain relationships with customers as well as prospect for new customers, have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at Prospecting, Generating Leads, Developing Quotes and Closing Sales Agreements.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with an ability to showcase our solutions in a compelling way and with a relentless drive to expand our market share. This person should be able to create and present persuasive sales proposals to prospects and demonstrate effective communication, negotiation and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed Sales Targets.
Objectives of this role
- Represent our company’s products and services, using consumer research as well as a deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the needs of customers
- Meet Daily and Weekly Call Metrics
- Achieve and Exceed Monthly and Annual Sales Goals
- Generate Sales Leads and build relationships by organizing his/her daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers
- Develop and implement a Sales Action Plan focused on fast growth
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with New Customers
- Identify and prospect potential customers, set appointments and manage the Sales Cycle to close new business
- Generate accurate Customer Quotes and make effective Sales Presentations by customizing our services to the customer’s specific needs
- Effectively analyze potential of the Pallet Market, identify opportunities and duplicate proven past Company success
- Resolve customer issues by addressing situations, developingsolutions and providing world class customer service
- Work effectively with cross functional teams to coordinate sales efforts and minimize the length of the Sales Cycle
- Track Prospecting and Sales Results and furnish accurate reports as required Effectively utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for all sales related activities, account information, and contact metrics for use in analytics
- Provide management with competitive information prospecting to identify ideas for new products and services and report industry updates
- Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making by Senior Management.
Outside Sales Representative Required skills and qualifications
- Highly motivated and target driven self-starter
- Two (2) or more years of successful sales (Inside Sales/Outside Sales/Business Development) experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales or business administration preferred
Valid driver license and ability to travel extensively within the sales territory
Preferred skills and qualifications
Effective telephone prospecting techniques
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, sales management software, with experience in Salesforce a plus
- Experience selling to industrial manufacturing markets
Total Compensation: Base Salary range of $60,000 plus Commission
On track first year earning potential of $100,000 with uncapped limit

Rose Pallet was founded in 2011 by Alan Rose, Mia Allen, Co-CEO, and Amy Olson, Co-CEO. Our corporate headquarters are located inWestmont, Illinois and includes our Accounting, Marketing, and Operations Departments.
