Rose Real Estate of Munster, Indiana (in business since 1993) is growing fast and looking for a part-time (9-3) bookkeeper for its Residential Rental portfolio. In the role of Bookkeeper/Administrative assistant you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, A/P, A/R, administrative duties and assisting the Property Manager using our Property Management Software. A background check is required. Here is a general list of responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Scan & Upload invoices into Software
- Apply invoices to correct Property or Tenant to pay/charge-back
- Pay invoices once approved by Property Manager
- Enter Leasing Fees
Accounts Receivable
- Record rent payments
- Record security deposits
- Create invoices
Miscellaneous
- Enter general entries
- Payout of monthly Owner Proceeds
- Review expense trends and catch any irregularities.
- Work with Property Manager to create various reports and general assistance.
Communication
- Communication with New/Existing Applicants and Tenants if they have any questions or need assistance with payments.
- Communicate with Property Manager and staff as needed.
To be successful in this position, you must;
- Experience in Bookkeeping
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have experience with GMail, Excel, Word and above-average computer skills
- Detail-oriented, fast learner, ability to multi-task
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
