Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics and sports coaching, with the ability to inspire and educate young athletes. This role involves working closely with children of various skill levels, helping them develop their gymnastics skills while promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging gymnastics training programs for different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach fundamental gymnastics techniques, including tumbling, balance beam, vaulting, and floor routines.
- Monitor and assess each athlete’s progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Ensure a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and behavior management strategies.
- Organize and lead warm-up exercises, conditioning drills, and cool-down activities.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among athletes.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with coaching techniques and gymnastics trends.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in sports coaching or as a gymnastics instructor is preferred.
- Background in childcare or education is beneficial for working effectively with young athletes.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive training environment.
- Familiarity with physical education principles and health club operations is a plus.
- Experience in related sports such as martial arts or basketball can enhance coaching effectiveness.
- Ability to climb gymnastic apparatus safely while demonstrating techniques to students.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.75 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
