ROSE STATE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
POSITION: ERP/Network/Systems Administrator
Description of Duties: Manage and support PeopleSoft servers including upgrades and patches as needed. Manage and support the network load balancing systems connected to the ERP environment. Manage and maintain enterprise server backup systems. Perform management activities related to Active Directory, Domain Name System - DNS, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Maintain and manage the campus Exchange 2016/ M365 Exchange mail system. Maintain the campus Cisco Voice over IP (VOIP) telephone system. Implement and maintain client/server systems required to support the campus administrative and academic functions. Perform network upgrades, including server operating system upgrades, patching, and installation of new software. Maintain, manage, and upgrade enterprise patching and antivirus protection systems. Maintain the campus local and remote network infrastructure. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Information Technology. Monitor and maintain the Campus network infrastructure to include core and edge switches, routers, security devices and other equipment/software. Maintain the network firewall and other security devices. Provide off-hours, on-call support on a rotation basis. Contact appropriate vendors to resolve system problems. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related field. Three years of experience in configuring and maintaining switches, routers and 3firewalls. Three years of enterprise level network/systems administration experience, preferably in a higher education environment. Applicants currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree may also be considered provided they possess advanced IT certifications and 4 or more years work experience clearly showing system/network/programmer environment administration. Candidates considered under the alternate requirements must be willing to continue pursuit of the bachelor’s degree after being hired. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, adhere to strict deadlines and be attentive to detail. Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related field. Five (5) years of progressive hands-on applied experience in enterprise network/systems administration. Advanced network/systems certifications preferred.
