Summary: Rose Street Advisors is seeking a skilled and experienced HR professional to partner with our customers on a wide range of human resources initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders to develop and implement HR projects based on organizational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR best practices, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to advise and mentor managers on various HR issues.
Essential Job Duties:
- Fractional HR Leadership: Partner with multiple organizations to provide excellent onsite HR guidance.
- Policy Development: Create, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as industry standards.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Advise on recruitment strategies, assist in job description creation, and streamline onboarding processes to ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver training programs to customers on various HR topics to enhance employee skills, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Compensation & Benefits: Conduct market research to develop competitive compensation structures and recommend benefits packages that attract and retain top talent.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a closely related field is required.
- Proven experience in an HR role with a strong background in employment compliance, training, employee relations, and recruiting.
- SHRM or PHR certification is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work with organizations of varying sizes and both profit and non-profit organizations.
- Prior experience with HRIS systems (e.g.,Isolved, Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Environment:
- This position is located at Rose Street Advisors office in Kalamazoo. Candidates that are able to commute to the Greater Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids areas are encouraged to apply.
- Regular visits/travel to client companies are required as well as attendance at HR related functions within the community. Travel is located primarily within Southwest Michigan.
- This position requires a valid driver's license.
