Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Verify maintenance records and logbooks for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and report discrepancies or potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform audits and evaluations of maintenance procedures and practices.
- Ensure adherence to proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Oversee and sign off on aircraft maintenance work, ensuring it meets operational safety requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, technological advancements, and best practices in aircraft maintenance.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel on regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; FAA certification required.
- Extensive experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician or Inspector in the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including electrical, airframe, avionics, and engines.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and regulatory documents.
- Skilled in using various inspection tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively document findings and collaborate with colleagues.
