Purpose
Assists the GIS Resource team developing and improving Company GIS datasets to support Resources business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve Resources GIS datasets with project-dependent work
- Collaborate with other GIS team members to develop new GIS datasets to support existing and new Resources business initiatives
- Demonstrate keen attention to detail with consistent review and editing of critical spatial data layers
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with key individuals when guidance / clarification needed
- Workload is from four to eight hours per day, up to 29 hours per week. Some flexibility is possible
- Provide status updates when requested by the GIS Resources Manager
- Projects will include both spatial and attribute edits and include the following GIS layers : Edit road layer to better ensure alignment between RRC and BLM dataSupport development of the silviculture GIS layerAssist with development / testing of GIS mobile productsAssist with other editing, review, and / or revisions to GIS data as needed
