Purpose
As a key member of the Commercial Analytics & Enablement (CAE) team, the Sales Operations Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in transforming sales operations processes at Roseburg as we rapidly evolve our capabilities with an absolute focus – exceeding customer expectations and driving profitable growth. First, this person will refine our Sales forecasting process – implementing changes and driving monthly execution. More broadly, this individual will lead assessment of the full customer experience, from order receipt to product delivery, with a spotlight on how we can utilize, enhance, and create new tools and business processes (as well as retire outdated versions) to dramatically increase alignment, transparency, communication, and ultimately delivery of on-time quality products. Leading creation of profitability insights and simple tools that enables sale team members to make rapid and strategic pricing decisions will be another critical contribution. The successful Sales Operation Manager will passionately drive toward these goals with an extreme focus on humble team leadership and use of technology to create automation and standardization that allows our Sales team members to spend their energy on exceeding our customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide humble, hungry, and smart leadership and vision most directly to CAE team members and more broadly throughout the Sales & Marketing organization
- Build relationships and bridges throughout the organization : Finance, Operations, IT, SIOP
- Customer-first” : Operate with an empathetic and proactive mindset that constantly puts customers (internal and external) first
- Refine, create, and lead monthly Sales forecast execution. Strong focus on clearly defined output objectives. Leverage existing enterprise systems (, Anaplan, Tableau, Salesforce, Oracle, etc) and develop new team capabilities to meet these objectives
- Lead assessment of current Sales Operations processes, identify most critical areas for improvement, and triage CAE efforts to develop standardized capabilities to enhance them. Strong focus on reliable dashboarding and rapid development response within Salesforce and Tableau
- Primary responsibility for creating and communicating overall vision of system uses and interactions as we push toward “one source of truth”. Demonstrate strong command of strategic and technical choices in enterprise system configuration
- Play critical technical role in architecting and implementing integrated systems capabilities that synthesize data from multiple platforms; develop and maintain transparent, extensible, and consistent data architectures
- Partner with Supply Chain Inventory Manager and IT to increase our Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) usage with customers
- Provide vision for future state of CAE work including customer portal, ordering automation, use of AI, and other natural extensions
- Tailor the CAE team’s work products to specific target stakeholders (, Territory Sales Manager, Director, Exec, etc)
- Drive cultural adoption of vital Sales enablement systems (, Salesforce, Tableau)
- Continuous improvement : Actively seek feedback from stakeholders and rapidly implement scalable responses
