Job Summary:
To plan a fleet of trucks, trailers and drivers to ensure optimum productivity, service levels, and revenue, as well as understanding and meeting the needs of our customers and drivers in the transportation industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Track and trace driver locations in real-time using GPS and dispatch software while updating the trucking mate system.
- Communicate with drivers to provide timely updates on their routes and any changes.
- Monitor shipment statuses and proactively address any delays or issues. Also, look to repower loads with other drivers in the area.
- Collaborate with the day shift dispatcher to ensure seamless operations throughout the night. You will be required to document and send night notes/ pass down notes of any issues or resolve problems from previous night shift.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication and dispatch activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.

- Understands driver logs, HOS, and logistic mapping.
- Proficiency in TMW, Samsara and Siperion compliance.
- High attention to detail and work accuracy and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, ensuring task are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
- Observe and comply with all Rosedale Transportation, Inc policies and contribute to the Rosedale culture.
- Must be able to present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Maintain driver pay audit daily.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the transportation field.
- Familiar with standard concepts of scheduling and dispatching.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of DOT and state specific safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills; both written and oral.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Must have excellent observation skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform with a focus on customer-service.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends and be on call 24/7.
- Prior experience working in a dispatch-center environment, preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of TMW, Samsara and Siperion are preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.49 - $20.67 per hour
