Daniel Rosefelt & Associates, PLLC dba Rosefelt Tax Law is a nationally recognized tax controversy law firm based out of the Washington, DC Metro area and Florida. We are a multi-disciplinary team of Attorneys, CPAs, EA's, and other tax professionals.
We are looking for a CPA or Enrolled Agent with significant tax accounting and return preparation experience (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, FBARs, etc.). We represent individuals and businesses with unfiled returns, unreported offshore assets, IRS audits, and various other tax controversy issues. Experience with handling tax controversy and international tax issues will be a plus. You will assist with tax accounting, tax preparation, and provide support to the firm's Attorney-CPA and tax Attorneys as necessary. This role is remote, however applicants located in Florida will be a plus.
Skills and Requirements:
- Accounting degree, active CPA license, or active IRS Enrolled Agent license (JD will be a plus)
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in tax accounting and/or tax preparation work
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote virtual environment
- Requires excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, etc.)
- Proficient in QuickBooks and tax preparation software such as ProSeries, Drake, etc.
- Effective communicator that enjoys speaking with clients and collaborating with team members
- Eager and able to learn topics and information (relating to tax controversy)
Responsibilities:
- Multi-year tax accounting for self-employed individuals and small businesses
- Federal and state tax return preparation for individuals and entities
- Preparation of offshore tax filings (FBARs, 3520s, 5471s, etc.)
- Assist with submission of tax filings
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and records
- Assist Attorney-CPA and tax Attorneys with resolving client tax controversy issues
- Follow instructions and understand the importance of policies and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
