What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Admissions Attendant - Kemmerling Pool position at Roselle Park District?
The Roselle Park District operates and manages over 158 acres of land in 16 parks, and offers approximately 276 recreational and seasonal programs. We provide a full range of activities and services year round. Major recreation programs include athletics, music, cultural arts, dance, day camps, fitness, preschool, outdoor recreation, trips, and special events.

$15/hour, approx 10-15 hours/week depending on need, May - September 2025
Note: Pool season is June - August 2025. Training done in May 2025.
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Kemmerling Coordinator, Pool Admissions Attendants are responsible for the service of guests by enforcing the pool rules, admitting aquatic patrons.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- The ability to perform the essential functions.
- An ability to listen and follow directions.
- An understanding of the principles of customer service and client relations.
- An understanding of the principles of risk management and safety.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks:
- Professionally speak with all adults and children entering the Kemmerling Pool facility.
- Report any problems or complaints to the manager on duty.
- Responsible to answer questions of pool patrons and financial control of the front throughout each work shift.
- Be responsible to enforce all rules and regulations stated by the Kemmerling Pool and the DuPage Health Department. This includes showering, use of lockers, what can be taken out on pool decks and safety and cleanliness precautions in the concession stand.
- Report to the manager on duty any patron suspected of having a contagious sickness, rash, open sore or any other condition that would seem to be hazardous to their health or the health of other swimmers.
- Enforce the rules of no smoking, food or drink (including chewing gum) in the locker room or on deck.
- Professionally inspect any bags, coolers or containers of any kind that may contain outside food, drink oglass. Report to manager any patrons not complying with the regulation. Clean entire admissions area.
- Responsible for following all cash handling policies.
- Act in a professional manner at all times while at the facility, thus creating a positive image of the park district.
- Must wear assigned uniform at all times while on duty.
- Attend required safety trainings and meetings.
- Responsible for scheduled hours and required to find a substitute if he/she cannot cover hours.
- Other related duties as assigned.
