Primary Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Assistance: Classroom assistance involves supporting lead teachers in daily classroom activities to ensure a well-organized, engaging, and positive learning environment for children. Key duties include:
- Helping prepare and arrange classroom materials and resources.
- Assisting in the execution of developmentally suitable lesson plans.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
- Keeping accurate records of student progress, behaviors, and other relevant information.
- Providing detailed daily updates through the Procare system.
2. Engaging with Students: This role requires active interaction with young learners, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Specific responsibilities include:
- Participating in educational activities that stimulate learning and curiosity.
- Offering individual and small-group support tailored to each child’s needs.
- Building trusting and positive relationships with children to enhance their sense of security.
- Encouraging respect for peers, materials, and the learning environment.
3. Behavior Guidance: Maintaining a structured and positive environment is essential for student success. Responsibilities in this area include:
- Reinforcing classroom expectations and encouraging positive behavior.
- Assisting children in resolving conflicts and developing problem-solving skills.
- Communicating with lead teachers and parents regarding behavioral progress.

4. Safety and Compliance: Ensuring the safety and security of all children is a top priority. Key tasks include:
- Supervising children during all classroom and outdoor activities.
- Maintaining compliance with child care regulations and safety protocols.
- Ensuring student-teacher ratios are met at all times.
- Keeping the classroom clean and organized to support a safe learning environment.
- Holding or obtaining CPR and First Aid certification.
