What You’ll Do:
Classroom Support
- Partner with lead teachers to plan and prepare fun, age-appropriate activities
- Help set up and maintain an organized, engaging classroom
- Contribute to lesson implementation and daily routines
- Keep track of children’s progress and daily updates using Procare
Engaging with Children
- Interact with infants through play, conversation, and exploration
- Support their emotional, social, and developmental growth
- Offer individual and small-group attention when needed
- Build strong, trusting relationships with each child
Behavior Guidance
- Model and encourage positive behavior
- Support children in learning how to express themselves and resolve conflict
- Work closely with teachers and families to share updates and strategies
- Promote respect, empathy, and kindness
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean environment in line with licensing regulations
- Supervise children at all times—inside the classroom and outdoors
- Ensure appropriate child-to-teacher ratios are always met
- Be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Communication & Teamwork
- Collaborate with lead teachers and fellow staff to provide consistent care
- Communicate clearly and kindly with children, parents, and coworkers
- Share insights and feedback during team meetings and trainings
- Stay informed on best practices in early childhood education
Who We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma required; Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus
- Prior experience working with infants or young children
- A warm, patient, and flexible personality
- Strong communication skills and a genuine love for kids
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete it)
