Position Summary:
This dual-role position integrates clinical education and patient care responsibilities, balancing the oversight of the Family Medicine Clerkship at Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM) with clinical practice as an Anchor Physician at Roseman Medical Group (RMG). The Clerkship Director (50%) will develop and oversee the Family Medicine clerkship, ensuring high-quality education for medical students. The Anchor Physician (50%) will provide primary care services, act as a leader within RMG, and contribute to clinical faculty recruitment and mentorship. This position has a dual reporting relationship to the Medical Director of RMG and the Associate Dean for Clinical Education
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and evaluate the Family Medicine clerkship curriculum, including the development of syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments.
- Deliver and coordinate didactic sessions, including lectures, case discussions, and skills workshops.
- Recruit and oversee faculty preceptors, ensuring a high-quality learning environment across clerkship sites.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services in accordance with the mission of RMG.
- Serve as a clinical leader, mentoring medical students, residents, and colleagues in evidence-based patient care.
- Collaborate with RUCOM to create opportunities for medical students to engage in clinical learning at RMG.
- Contribute to practice development, patient retention, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in team-based care models, working alongside multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Work as part of a team with the other Clerkship Directors and clinical faculty to coordinate the appropriate integration of learning experiences across the clinical curriculum.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree with Board Certification in Family Medicine.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Nevada or currently licensed.
- Demonstrated experience in medical education and/or clinical leadership.
