Job Summary
To provide exceptional support to an existing team of Project Personnel.
Responsibilities
· Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to scheduled projects or specifications.
· Schedule or dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or vehicles to appropriate locations, according to project specifications, needs, using radios or telephones.
· Prepare daily work and run schedules.
· Respond to customer problems or complaints.
· Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.
· Duties may include using radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on work progress.
· Operate communications equipment or systems.
· Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from work crews, supervisors, or field inspectors.
· Receive or prepare work orders and disseminate to appropriate personnel.
· Record and maintain files or records of requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information.
· Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
· Monitor personnel or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.
· Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
· Order supplies or equipment and issue them to personnel.
· Confer with supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment.
· Maintain accurate data, while upholding the company confidentiality practices.
· Additional tasks as assigned, act as a point of contact as applicable.
Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Dispatching, preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
· Applicable experience in Construction Dispatching, preferred.
· Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail skills, meticulous organizational skills, required.
· Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office suite (word, excel, outlook) and job-related software.
· Bachelor’s degree, relevant field of study, or on-the-job experience, required.
· Ability to learn new software, integrate and tactfully assimilate processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
