We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing cost analysis, margin analysis, and inventory management, along with hands-on expertise in balancing and managing financial records. This role is crucial for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes, conducting target costing, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting:
- Analyze and adjust manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct target costing and margin analysis to ensure financial goals are met.
- Trace costs back to related inventory and manufacturing activities for accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor inventory control systems and evaluate cost variances to assess performance against budgeted targets.
Balance Sheet Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets by managing all accounts, including reviewing transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, cash flow, and online banking activities.
General Accounting Responsibilities:
- Review, approve, and post check requests, direct deposits, and other disbursements.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings to ensure accurate reporting of financial results.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and HR, to provide financial insights and data necessary for decision-making.
- Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support external audits and regulatory reviews as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (ERP experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Overall ability to adapt to new technologies.
