Position Summary: Roseville Crushed is a crushing and recycling manufacturer. We are looking for a Bookkeeper to help maintain our financial records. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. Although Roseville Crushed is located in Roseville, MI the bookkeeping position is located in Bruce Twp., MI. This position also helps maintain the financial records of several other affiliated entities. The affiliated entities have low transaction volumes and account for approximately 20% of the responsibilities of this position.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Input customer tickets into ERP system for invoice generation and distribution to
- customers.
- Monitor incoming payments and ensure application to the correct invoices.
- Maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers regarding overdue
- accounts.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve disputes related to invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
Accounts Payable
- Perform all accounts payable functions, including matching invoices and purchase orders while verifying quantities and pricing.
- Organize, scan, and file purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation into our ERP system.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and process vendor payments.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the A/P inbox and ensure timely responses.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and tax ID verification.
General Accounting
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Posting general ledger journal entries.
- Monthly credit card payment reconciliation.
- Provide data for weekly executive summary.
- Day-to-day accounting duties.
- Support administrative duties as necessary.
Efficiency & Data Integrity
- Maintain compliance with document retention policies.
- Safeguard confidential financial information.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper
- 1-3 years of experience with accounting software
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and set priorities for work
- Problem-solving ability
- High school degree
