Ultrasound Technologist Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of ultrasound imaging experience is required. 
• RDMS certification is required RVT additional certification is preferred
• Demonstrate professionalism and practical interpersonal skills in a diverse population. 
• Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision. 
• Must provide proper credential documentation per company, client, and state requirements.
• Must be current on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug and background checks. 
• Must have a current BLS/CPR 
  
  

Ultrasound Technologist Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging procedures (OB, general, and vascular).
• Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist.
• Manage High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures and documentation proficiently.
• Displays effective utilization of PACS systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data.
  
  

Physical Effort

• Must be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements. Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment. Physical endurance is essential to complete multiple consecutive scans.
  
  

Roshal’s Ultrasound Technologists perform a variety of routine and emergency ultrasound imaging and other sonographic procedures with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment.
