Ultrasound Technologist Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year of ultrasound imaging experience is required.
- RDMS certification is required RVT additional certification is preferred
- Demonstrate professionalism and practical interpersonal skills in a diverse population.
- Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Must provide proper credential documentation per company, client, and state requirements
- Must be current on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug and background checks.
- Must have a current BLS/CPR
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging procedures (OB, general, and vascular)
- Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist
- Manage High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures and documentation proficiently
- Displays effective utilization of PACS systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data
- Must be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements. Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed
- Requires prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment. Physical endurance is essential to complete multiple consecutive scans
