Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Sells tickets for racing days and events both in person and over the phone.
- Supervises seasonal ticketing supervisor and ticketing representatives.
- Manages sales through Banquet Event Order (BEO) system and coordinates with Event Coordinator through the end of each event.
- Provides information about race schedules, ticket prices, and promotions to customers.
- Provides exceptional customer service throughout the ticketing or sales process, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Promotes upcoming events and special offers to increase ticket sales for racing suites, 1609 restaurant, Jockey’s Club, banquet room, and any other potential revenue generating opportunity approved by management.
- Assists with site visits and presentations to potential clients, showcasing facilities and services.
- Supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence, and invoicing).
- Follows up on all business leads in a timely manner.
- Addresses any client inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assists in sending contracts and menus to potential clients.
- Participates with catering, audiovisual, and venue teams to ensure all details are accurately represented in the BEOs.
- Responds to and assists with situations requiring service recovery to ensure client satisfaction.
- Assists with collecting and managing client payments.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Digital literacy in computer programs relating to the Food & Beverage department is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Proficiency in event management software is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of progressive experience in the ticketing and events or related field preferred.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
- Required to hold a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years’ driving experience.
- The Team Member may be required to stand for the duration of the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
