We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie’s Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.
OPPORTUNITY
Rosie’s Place is looking for a Facilities Associate to join our Facilities team. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Associate ensures the interior and exterior of Rosie’s Place properties are clean and well maintained, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. The Facilities Associate also assists with pick-up, receiving, moving and storage of deliveries to Rosie’s Place.

Job duties are performed in a variety of settings, including office, commercial kitchen and outdoors. Day to day work includes lifting, stocking and cleaning as well as interaction with staff, guests, and volunteers. Individuals must be physically able to safely lift 70 pounds, reach, bend and stoop, as well as use cleaning products and equipment.
HOURS
This is a full-time non-exempt position, with the following regularly scheduled hours:
The starting pay rate for this role is $25 per hour.
Per Rosie’s Place Shift Differential Policy, hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at an additional $2 per hour.

WORK EXPECTATIONS AT ROSIE’S PLACE
We are a hands-on team and seek employees who are passionate about our work and service to our community. The Facilities Associate is expected to work onsite at Rosie’s Place during their work week and engage regularly with staff, guests, and volunteers.
We continue to adapt to safety protocols related to COVID-19 as we understand them, and all employees must follow our safety protocols. Among these protocols, we require all employees to be up to date with their COVID vaccinations. Requests for medical or religious exemptions from the COVID vaccination are considered.

The Facilities Associate also assists with pick-up, receiving, moving and storage of deliveries to Rosie’s Place.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, mopping, vacuuming, buffing floors (using heavy machinery), window and glass cleaning and other heavy and light cleaning of the dining room, bathrooms, offices, staff and common areas
- Maintain a clean, well-kept appearance of the outdoor areas of Rosie’s Place properties
- Assist with deliveries, including receiving, moving and storage of materials and supplies
- Assist with the pick-up of food and other items in the company vehicle at various external sites, driving company vehicles as needed
- Monitor the condition of the buildings and equipment, reporting damage or other concerns to the Assistant Manager of Facilities and the Director of Facilities
- Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs as needed, under the supervision of the Director of Facilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager of Facilities and the Director of Facilities

- 1-2 years' professional cleaning and/or maintenance experience
- Ability to work in a multicultural setting with people of diverse backgrounds, traditions, customs and personalities

- Excellent organizational and cleanliness skills
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve and prioritize responsibilities
