We are seeking energetic and motivated individuals for Full Time Optician position available at our Family Optical Center - Rockford office.
Position:
The position of Optician is a key part to our Optical Team. Opticians work to serve all patient needs related to eye wear. Previous experience is a plus but not required. We have a comprehensive training program!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent patient service
- Adhere to privacy, confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (HIPAA)
- Frame styling - assisting patients in choosing the frame that suits them best and determining lens options for optimal visual performance and the right fit for their lifestyle.
- Eyewear adjustment and repair
- Understanding and interpreting patient’s vision insurance and explaining pricing
- Communication with Optometrist regarding patient needs and recommendations
- Placing and receiving laboratory orders
- Ensuring all orders arrive and are to the specifications of the patient
- Posts charges and payments along with obtaining insurance authorizations
- Professional phone etiquette and provide general administrative support
- Directly greet and service patients for scheduled appointments as well as impromptu visits.
