We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Process Intern to support our Corporate FP&A team with projects focused on improving financial systems, processes, and internal controls. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys streamlining workflows, documenting procedures, and working cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency.

Essential Functions
- Assist the FP&A team with documentation of company business cycles to support process clarity and compliance.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key financial processes such as month-end close, departmental reporting, and personnel mapping.
- Perform ad hoc analysis of business unit and plant financial results, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the documentation and evaluation of finance-related business processes (e.g., accounts payable, inventory costing, month-end close).
- Support efforts to standardize and streamline financial workflows across departments and systems.
- Help identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement using data analysis, stakeholder input, and process observation.
- Participate in internal control reviews and help update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support audit and compliance efforts, including documentation and testing of control procedures.
- Assist with the implementation of new financial tools or systems by gathering requirements and testing functionality.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment between financial processes and business needs.
- Prepare process maps, reports, and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in financial systems, internal controls, and business process improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas; Power Query or VBA is a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with ERP or reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Workday Adaptive) is a plus.
- Exposure to key financial and operational processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in financial analysis, process documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.
