The Quality Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring these goals are met by focusing on operational excellence, attention to detail, defect detection, corrective/preventative actions, and fostering strong internal partnerships with the production department.

The Quality Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring these goals are met by focusing on operational excellence, attention to detail, defect detection, corrective/preventative actions, and fostering strong internal partnerships with the production department.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain key indicators of product quality and safety through inspection, testing, and communication.
- Ensure plant floor operations and procedures align with corporate quality policy.
- Assess and maintain food safety programs, including HACCP, allergen control, ingredient control, and GMPs.
- Lead and oversee the quality team, collaborating with cross-functional peers across the plant.
- Implement and manage training programs, document control, traceability, internal audits, product quality reviews, and corrective/preventative actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within plant operations.
- Ensure alignment of plant procedures with food safety and quality policies and SQF elements.
- Oversee sampling, testing, and inspections to ensure they align with plant quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate and effective data reporting and documentation practices.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data on a daily basis.
- Ensure the calibration and accuracy of testing equipment and methods.
- Build strong relationships with production supervisors to identify and act on continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the maintenance of SQF certification.
- Manage, plan, and coordinate quality staff schedules and functions.
- Support cleaning and sanitation verification processes.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and chemicals.
- Manage hold inventories, including placing products on hold, assisting in rework, and sorting.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of quality systems to ensure food safety and quality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including team building and oral communication.
- Strong documentation skills.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor of Science degree in food or biological sciences.
- Experience in quality systems management within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong customer-facing skills.
