What you do:
The Project Manager will effectively manage the various knowledge areas of a project, including integration management, scope management, schedule management, cost management, quality management, resource management, communications management, risk management, procurement management, and stakeholder management. By leveraging these areas, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the project's planning, execution, and closure, ensuring its delivery of value to the company and stakeholders.
The Project Manager is responsible for driving the success of a project. Their key duties include:
- Ideation: Collecting and qualifying project ideas to improve the company's results and guiding them through the approval process.
- Execution: Ensuring the successful execution of the approved project, within the 95-105% time and cost performance range, while managing risks and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Providing engineering-related technical support to the project, acting as a liaison between contractors, equipment vendors, and internal project teams.
- Implementation: Supporting the construction and installation team during the implementation phase and serving as the startup manager during commissioning and commercialization.
- Project Management: Planning and defining project scope, tasks, and deliverables, leading cross-functional teams, managing the project budget and resources, monitoring, and controlling activities, communicating project status and risks, and continuously improving project management practices.
What you need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Food Engineering (Masters Degree a plus)
- 5 or more years of experience in project management, leading complex engineering projects, and cross-functional teams.
- A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as process engineering, packaging equipment, and facilities-related engineering, as well as knowledge of food industry regulations and standards preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the food industry, including production processes, regulations, and quality standard preferred.
- Understanding of food production processes, packaging, and facilities-related engineering, with the ability to oversee the implementation of technical solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.
- The ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems, and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to change and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
