EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT FINANCIAL AID

President of Financial Aid, you will lead the Financial Aid (FA), regulatory and accreditation teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure staffing, development and support for all Ross FA teams
- Schedule and/or conduct professional development and ongoing FA training
- Ongoing evaluation of all Ross FA effectiveness and meeting student needs Supervision of team leads in areas such as Central Financial Aid, Quality Control, Online FA, Corporate FA and Financial Aid Specialists
- Provide daily resource and support to corporate leadership and campus management teams for operating procedures and policy questions/concerns
- Provide training to the Operations and Online teams as requested
- Set up regulatory processes and review/FA audit procedures
- Make sure Ross is compliant in all FA procedures
- Know State and Federal requirements relative to Ross Education operations and programs and keep abreast of changes
- Be aware of risks to Ross Education in regulatory areas and create and execute action plans to minimize risks
- Through Compliance team efforts, support campuses and online programs with regulatory reviews and visits
- Keep current on all Federal regulations/changes, State guidelines, ABHES and programmatic accreditors
- Disseminate new information or clarification to campus personnel as needed or requested
- Establish and monitor all Ross policies and procedures related to State, ABHES, VA and USDE rules and regulations
- Review and update FA Policies and Procedures Manual on an annual basis
- Establish and distribute FA packaging guidelines
- Calculate and distribute refund policy charts
- Represent Ross during Title IV SFA compliance audit
- Review Letter of Engagement, act as liaison between auditors and Ross, prepare Corrective Action Plans and review audit findings
- Represent Ross during any USDE visits including Federal Program Reviews
- Prepare written response to program review findings
- Maintain USDE eligibility documents including ECARs and PPAs. Liaison between USDE and Ross
- File electronic and paper applications for new campuses, change in programs, etc.
- Oversee R2T4 refund process
- Partner with our default management staff and third party services
- Prepare and distribute the Ross Student Loan Code of Conduct
- Establish and distribute updates to all campuses regarding Ross record retention policy
- Monitor/review all reinstatement and transfer students
- File National Student Loan Data System application forms for all newly hired FAs
- Maintain documentation of user agreement forms, signature pages, etc.
- Prepare data for the Net Price Calculator and develop a plan to ensure link to the DE template is placed on the Ross website
- Coordinate Gainful Employment disclosures and coordinate placing link on the Ross website
- Prepare and distribute to all Ross campuses the Constitution Day acknowledgement
- Oversee Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act guidelines
- Oversee data and distribution of student 1098T forms annually
- Perform related work as required
Requirements
- Bachelors degree, either BA or BS required from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is preferred
- 10 years senior level experience in Compliance and Financial Aid for post-secondary for-profit or non-profit education
- Experience in audits, management of personnel, risk analysis, strategic planning, training and resource development
- Ability to build relationships with governmental and accrediting agencies
- Self-motivated to accomplish daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals and ability to motivate others to achieve their goals
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer skills including MS Office, Internet, e-mail and familiar with general office equipment
- If working remotely, must have high-speed internet access through a device that supports Canvas (student information and teaching platform software) and webcam or other device with video capability, and allows the instructor to communicate online with students and staff
- Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication
- Successful communication skills are required for working at Ross and involve the following: writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research
- Ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Ability to work with different teams
- Ability to remain focused and adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment

This position will be worked from our office in Clinton Township or in person at an existing Ross campus. Hybrid/remote options to be considered.
