What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool & Die Technician position at Rosti Group?
Purpose: Assist Supervisor to revise, repair and maintain molds, jigs, fixtures, gauges and cutters. Assist with repair of press components and trouble shoot molds and secondary tooling problems. Recommend to Supervisor a corrective action plan for problem molds and tools, which will ensure quality parts for the customer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advise Supervisor immediately of any unreported mold damage, wear or unsatisfactory conditions.
- Operate milling machine, lathe, drill press, surface grinder and auxiliary equipment.
- Use and operate tool room equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
- Maintain tool room equipment and keep work area organized and clean.
- Perform other duties as required.
Work/Skills Experience:
- Preferred 3 – 5 years related tool room experience in an injection molding environment
- Must be able to read part and tool drawings and use standard measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of equipment, molds, fixtures, etc.
- Ability to be flexible due to priority changes
Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of PC-DMIS or similar Software (CMM)
- Working knowledge of InSpec Metrology Software (MicroVu)
