Regular Company : Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department : Patient Accounts Time Type : Full time Weekly Hours : 37.5 FTE : 0.9375 Shift : First Shift (United States of America) Summary : Prepares claims / statements for patients, insurance carriers, State and federal agencies according to billing specifications and in a timely manner; prepares and completes inquiries concerning patient accounts to various internal departments; contracts verbally or in writing insurance carriers, State or federal agencies concerning patients' accounts; records, maintains, and analyzes reports or data pertinent to the processing or finalization of patients' accounts; performs other billing functions assigned.
Hourly rate for the Medical Billing Clerk is $20.00 - $24.47, which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications : Required Education and Experience
1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in medical billing and follow-up procedures or a related field; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and Medical Billing Certification.
NOTE :
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
