1 **Shift:** First Shift (United States of America) **Summary:** Supports clinical and scientific research throughout the organization; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.

Compiles and enters data into the designated database system; generates reports; conducts preliminary data interpretation; designs spreadsheet algorithms to automate and/or simplify data reduction; generates and assembles tables or graphs of processed data; consults with laboratory personnel to interpret preliminary data.

Designs and performs experiments as indicated by a clinical or research supervisor; may conduct research and analyze drugs, blood, cells, tissues and other samples relative to clinical and scientific research; obtains samples, cultures and/or compounds for purposes of assisting or conducting experiments or research.

Develops new methods for extracting samples and separating compounds under the direction of supervisors.

Purchases all stock solutions and supplies relative to laboratory use and maintenance, supplies for experiments, and other inventory, as needed; tracks orders from inception to completion; maintains laboratory order records including receiving information; places received items in the appropriate location.

Salary for the Research Technologist - Flow & Immune Analysis Shared Resource is $24.26 - $30.76 hourly which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. **Qualifications:** Required Education and Experience

• Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
• Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Programming experience (python, R,) applied to flow cytometry
• Experience with lab automation
• Experience with Qupath image analysis package
• Experience with FCSExpress
• Experience with OMIQ
