About the Team :
Our Business Intelligence team has that incredible ability to distill the complex into the essential. From analyzing business trends to providing an in-depth look at consumer behavior, this team takes data and numbers—and transforms them into meaningful insights. The important work that these analytical minds spearhead is essential to the business, helping us determine the best path forward.
About the role :
As the Director, Business Intelligence, you will be a thought leader who helps shape and execute the data strategy that drives business decisions for global growth. You will be responsible for building and leading an agile team that ensures data integrity, governance, and accessibility, supporting stakeholders in finance, marketing, strategy, and technology.
What you’ll do :
Data Governance & Standardization : Establish and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure consistent, accurate, and secure data across the organization. Standardize data processes to support effective decision-making.
Business Intelligence Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Intelligence strategy, aligning data initiatives with business objectives. Partner with teams across finance, technology, marketing, and strategy to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable. Partner with the Data Engineering and Technology team to enable appropriate data flow / data model, development tools / technology, rapid prototyping and inform the design of analytics products.
Data Automation & Analytics : Support the integration of predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI to enable proactive decision-making and scenario planning. Implement Business Intelligence tools and dashboards to provide real-time insights for business stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management : Lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on Business Intelligence best practices, professional development, and career growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with senior leaders in finance, technology, strategy, and marketing to understand business needs and translate them into Business Intelligence solutions. Provide actionable insights to drive business performance and growth. Partner with domain experts to verify model capabilities and translate modeling outputs from statistical inferences into business language.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data management, reporting, and analytics. Stay up to date with the latest Business Intelligence trends, tools, and technologies to keep the organization on the cutting edge of data-driven decision-making.
You are :
An exceptional communicator and presenter, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and succinctly on behalf of business partners and to senior executives
Well versed in user behavior analytics tools eg. Google Analytics, Segment, Amplitude, or Adobe Analytics
Well versed in key BI tools eg. Looker, Tableau, QlikSense, Domo, Thoughtspot, or PowerBI
An effective leader who can guide the department through complex, ambiguous situations and change
Able to identify department patterns / trends and build optimal department policies and processes
You have :
8-10 years of professional experience within a data driven consumer product organization or consulting firm; an MBA preferred
In-depth knowledge of Ecommerce
Fluency in translating complex data into actionable insights for multiple teams and demonstrated ability to drive operational changes
Strong analytical, quantitative, and project management skills
Experience working cross-functionally among business stakeholders and technical teams
SQL fluency is a must. Hands on experience with using SQL to pull data for complex analytics
Demonstrated experience with statistical methods such as A / B testing and experimentation, propensity scoring, segmentation / clustering, and regression analysis
Experience with cloud-based data platforms
Familiarity with data engineering and automation tools
Knowledge of consumer brands or omni-channel retail experience

Compensation Range : $187K - $220K
