What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavation Manager position at Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service?
We are looking for an Excavation Manager in the field to manage, oversee and coordinate all facets of the excavation projects. Supervises excavation team members and subcontractors to ensure performance, schedule, overall excavation compliance meets safety regulations, quality standards and adheres to specifications.
Responsibilities
- · Scheduling of excavation jobs. Coordination and management of the work, equipment and the employees.
- · Ensures jobs have the proper PPE, tools, and equipment.
- · Verifies inspects all jobs are complete safely, timely and accurately.
- · Verifies utility companies have been marked and tagged and notified correctly.
- · Ensure shoring and all safety measures are in place.
- · Maintains jobs are all safe and trains and hold all employees are conducting themselves safely by wearing proper PPE.
- · Verifies safety inspections are complete on every job and all documentation is in order to the company’s expectations.
- · Obtains proper permits and works with officials when needed to have compliant excavation.
- · Makes sure all equipment is in working, safe order. Coordinates maintenance on equipment and fleet.
- · We are looking for motivated, strong work ethic, positive attitude, well-organized self-starter, excellent communication skills, with a five star service standards.
- · Position will be working mainly outdoors in varies weather climates. Could involved standing, bending, lifting while assisting team in varies physical procedures due the nature of excavations and working around heavy equipment.
- · Motivates the workers within the team and at times may assist in disciplines.
- · Use of computer Ipad are needed.
