Job Title: CNC Operator
Location: Groveton, NH
Shift: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Reports to: Foreman
Job Overview: The CNC operators are responsible for monitoring and operating our CNC (computer numerically controlled) machine to cut metal used in the manufacturing of Rotobec products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- Load materials into the CNC machine.
- Calculate material feed rates and adjust machine speed based on vibrations and sounds that indicate potential malfunctions.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Perform setup and adjustments of each unit correctly.
- Safely operate machinery, tools, and overhead cranes.
- Meets or exceeds set production targets as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free workplace.
- Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Participate in cross-training and assist in other production areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Foreman or Production Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Strong CNC operator skills.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of lathe and milling machines.
- Proven ability to perform high-quality machining work in compliance with required industry.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate well with others and have good organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree in a related field or 1 to 2 years of comparable shop experience deemed valid by the employer.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
