Lifeguard – Pool & Beach Safety Team
Job Summary
Are you passionate about water safety and love the beach? We’re seeking a vigilant and proactive Lifeguard to join our team and help maintain a safe, enjoyable environment at both our aquatic facility and beach areas. You’ll play a vital role in protecting guests, enforcing safety regulations, and ensuring everyone has a great experience—whether they’re in the pool or enjoying beachside activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pool and beach areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.
- Enforce rules and regulations to prevent accidents in and around the water.
- Perform water rescues and administer CPR or first aid in emergency situations.
- Supervise beach activities, including swimming zones, water sports, and shoreline play.
- Provide guidance on rip current awareness, sun safety, and safe swimming practices.
- Assist with the setup and takedown of beach equipment (e.g., umbrellas, flags, safety signs).
- Inspect and maintain pool and beach areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Deliver friendly and professional guest service, answering questions and offering assistance.
- Report safety hazards or maintenance concerns promptly to facility management.
- Participate in regular safety drills and certification training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong swimming ability and knowledge of both pool and open water rescue techniques.
- Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to obtain), including CPR and First Aid training.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or working in a beach or pool setting is preferred.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, especially in guest-facing situations.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or assist in rescues.
- Familiarity with beach safety procedures (e.g., flag warning systems, rip current protocols) is a plus.
