Job Description
Rotorcraft Repair & Manufacturing LLC holds a repair station from the Federal Aviation Administration for non-destructive inspection techniques and the maintenance and modification of bonded structures for helicopter main and tail helicopter rotor blades.
We offer a full range of inspection and restoration services from non-destructive testing of aviation and non-aviation articles to full overhaul of civil, public use, and military main and tail rotor blades. We also have capabilities to modify blades from and to various configurations.
Responsibilities
- Create revisions to detail parts and assemblies.
- Update detail, assembly, and installation CAD models and engineering for the airframe.
- Assist in researching technical data and developing solutions for the project or assignment.
- Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve problems and execute revision routing.
- Support the development of product changes and improvements.
- Respond to data/action requests from procurement, manufacturing, tooling etc.
- Prepare engineering change requests and change orders.
- Maintain engineering drawing.
The role requires the application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
You will be required to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate design activities, prioritize tasks, and report status to design leads.
Built effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across other teams to complete design tasks.
Requirements
- Proficient in SolidWorks software.
- 5 years aerospace structural design experience is required.
- BS Aerospace or mechanical engineering degree is required.
- Previous experience in Aviation Design is required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language.
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Office Environments, and Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / hours are 8AM to 5PM.
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
- US Citizen is required due to nature of work.
