Automotive Dealership Fixed Operations Director

Rouen Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, located just outside of Toledo, Ohio in Woodville, is looking to hire an experienced Fixed Operations Director to lead their service department, parts department and collision center team. The dealership is currently constructing a new, airconditioned service facility.

The Automotive Fixed Operations Director is responsible for the efficient and high performing profitable operation of the service department, parts department and collision center and will report to the general manager and dealer.

Fixed Operations Director-
Essential Duties for service, parts and collision center departments

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives to meet them.
• Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of the service, parts and collision center managers
• Develops pay plans for department managers with the approval of the general manager and dealer
• Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the departments
• Maintains reporting systems required by the manufacturer and dealer
• Attends and directs weekly manager meetings
• Holds effective meetings with department managers, technicians and advisors
• Monitors the performance of the departments
• Strives for harmony and teamwork within all dealership departments
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect repair operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-know, etc.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships, making great CSI a priority with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
• Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine employee training requirements
• Maintains high-quality repairs to minimize comebacks. Ensures that staff members conduct spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
• Ensures that customer complaints are handled immediately and according to dealership guidelines
• Develops department pricing plans and recommends them to the dealer and general manager
• Manages a safe, clean, organized and hazard free workplace and facility
• Keep abreast of new equipment and tools and recommends needed purchases
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance our technician hiring process
• Serves as liaison with factory representatives
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Other duties as assigned

Fixed Operations Director- Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Four to ten years related experience
• COLLISION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the dealer and general manager.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and area.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
