What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Swim Counselor position at Roughing It Day Camp?
Can you swim like a fish? Do you work well with children? We have the perfect outdoor summer job for you.
Lucky you, Roughing It Day Camp is hiring fun, motivated staff to teach swimming lessons to children ages 4-16 years old. Positions are open to anyone who has a love of the water, is fun and patient with children, and is able to obtain a lifeguard certification. We will provide paid training in how to teach beginner through advanced lessons.
Qualifications:
- Have completed at least 1 year of college prior to summer season
- Experience in water-related activities
- Experience working/volunteering with children
- Ability to obtain a lifeguard certification
- Provide your own transportation to Soda Aquatic Center
- Commit to Mon – Fri, June 16 – August 8 (later start date may be OK. Contact us for alternate training options).
