Job Title: Seasonal Grounds Crew Member
Reports to: Facility Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal (April – September)
The Seasonal Grounds Crew Member plays a vital role in maintaining the camp’s outdoor spaces by ensuring the grass, fields, and grounds are well-kept and inviting for guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating lawn care equipment, and taking pride in a well-maintained landscape.
Key Responsibilities: Lawn Care & Groundskeeping (April – September)- Mowing large areas of grass using tractors, zero-turn mowers, and push mowers
- Weed control along trails, pathways, and common areas
- Trimming around buildings, fences, and other structures with string trimmers
- Assisting with seasonal grounds projects, such as clearing brush or spreading mulch
- Ensuring picnic areas are set up and ready for guests
- Placing and removing picnic tables and burn barrels before and after events
- Raking and maintaining sand filters at the wastewater treatment plant
- Keeping walking paths and recreational areas clear and safe
- Performing simple maintenance on mowers and trimmers (sharpening blades, greasing parts)
- Assisting with oil changes and minor repairs on lawn care equipment
- Experience operating lawn care equipment is preferred but not required
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work independently and with a team
- Part-time, seasonal position (April – September)
