What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Worker position at Barbco, Inc?
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and preventative maintenance. You will be responsible for repairing equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. You will be required to work overtime as needed. Must work well with and without supervision with a solid work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining basic 110, 220, and 480 electrical
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, diesel and gas engine repair
- Maintenance of overhead jib cranes
- Welding and fabrication as needed
- Repair tow motors
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
- Provides general preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
Skills
- Knowledge of basic 110, 220, and 480 electrical
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in maintenance is required
