Duties & Responsibilities
· Greet customers warmly and assist them in inquiries regarding boat and item rentals over the phone, in person and online.
· Provide detailed information about available boats, equipment, rental rates, and terms of service to help customers make informed decisions.
· Manage rental reservations, coordinating schedules, and ensuring availability for customers' preferred rental dates.
· Process rental agreements and handle rental payments efficiently and accurately.
· Educate customers on safety guidelines, operating procedures, and local regulations related to boat rentals.
· Address customer concerns, inquiries, and complaints promptly, demonstrating a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
· Collaborate with the marina operations team to ensure boats and equipment are maintained in excellent condition for rentals.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of rental transactions, customer information, and rental inventory.
· Monitor and manage rental logistics, including check-ins, check-outs, and timely returns of boats and equipment.
· Assist with general administrative tasks, including answering emails, filing, providing information to walk-in customers, and assisting with office duties as needed.
· Assist the Office Manager with tasks as required.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is a plus.
· Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a marina, hospitality, or related industry.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
· Strong organizational abilities to manage rental schedules, bookings, and customer inquiries effectively.
· Proficiency in using computer systems, rental management software, and other office tools.
· Problem-solving mindset to address customer concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
· Knowledge of boating and marine equipment is beneficial but not mandatory.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
· Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Physical Demands:
· The Customer Service Specialist role involves occasional periods of standing and walking, primarily when assisting customers in-person at the marina office.
