Certification Engineer

In this role, you’ll use your expertise to ensure that aerospace products, systems and sometimes entire aircrafts meet the standards required by regulatory bodies to achieve Type Certification.

The key responsibilities of the Certification Engineer will be:

• Develop & Maintain Tools: Track certification requirements for compliance.
• Lead Certification Activities: Guide internal and external stakeholders through the certification process.
• Prepare Documentation: Create materials for internal teams, clients, and authorities (FAA, TCA)
• Coordinate with Suppliers: Ensure external components meet certification standards.
• Create Test Plans & Reports: Design and manage qualification tests and reports.
• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Review safety systems and participate in design reviews
• Submit documentation to acquire STC / EASA certificates.

The ideal Certification Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

• Degree Qualified in Engineering / Flight Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of aerospace certification experience.
• Experience with Supplemental Type Certificates
• Demonstrable experience of liaising with the FAA (or other applicable bodies) to achieve type certification
• Experience of working with Prime OEMs and/or leading Tier 1 Aerospace businesses to advise on the best route to certify new technology or requalify existing programs post modification.

Compensation: $135k-165k (DOE), Bonus and Excellent Benefits
