At Round Table Pizza, we have a long history of delivering high-quality pizza and exceptional guest experiences. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Area Manager to oversee and influence the operations of 8-12 quick-service pizza restaurants throughout Northern California. This is a dynamic leadership role focused on optimizing restaurant performance, profitability, and team development while ensuring the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and performance of 8-12 restaurant locations, achieving annual sales between $750,000 - $2M per unit.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest service.
- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentorship to General Managers and restaurant teams, fostering a strong, cohesive culture.
- Conduct operational reviews, unannounced inspections, and marketing plan evaluations to ensure all restaurants exceed brand standards.
- Drive financial performance by managing P&L metrics, controlling labor and food costs, and achieving budgeted profitability goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety, labor laws, and employment guidelines.
- Lead talent development initiatives, including performance evaluations, succession planning, and ongoing training.
- Analyze restaurant performance data, identify areas of opportunity, and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with marketing and training departments to execute new product rollouts and promotions effectively.
- Maintain a strong presence in the field, working alongside restaurant teams, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Work approximately 55 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of multi-unit restaurant management experience in a high-volume quick-service or fast-casual environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, cost controls, and financial reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and restaurant POS systems.
- A hands-on leadership approach with a passion for guest satisfaction and team success.
