UAM Manager

The User Access Management Manager leads and manages the IAM team, ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's identity and access systems. The position plays a critical role in overseeing IAM solutions, guiding the team to develop and implement best practices for access control, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

The UAM Manager reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and provide guidance to the IAM team to ensure their professional development and the effective execution of IAM strategies.
• Develop and implement IAM strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring secure access for users while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of access management solutions, ensuring proper provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access controls are in place.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes within IAM, streamline workflows, and improve system efficiencies.
• Work closely with IT, security, and business teams to ensure IAM solutions support organizational objectives and provide secure, seamless access to critical systems.
• Create and maintain reports on IAM performance, audit logs, and security incidents to provide actionable insights and metrics to leadership.
• Conduct regular access reviews of multiple systems to validate proper access is maintained.
• Other duties as assigned as necessary.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field
• 2 years of experience working in a similar role
• Experience with IAM platforms and technologies such as Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Strong understanding of access management principles, identity lifecycle management, and authentication/authorization protocols (e.g., SSO, MFA, LDAP, SAML, OAuth).
• Familiarity and hands on experience in SOC Audit and access recertification.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards such as NIST and FFIEC.
• Able to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Able to multi-task in processing BAU tickets and other special tasks assigned.
• Able to work extended hours when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) preferred.
