Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further a career in accounting. Reporting to the Roundstone Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will collaborate with multiple departments. This role will take a lead position in the management and performance of captive insurance programs and Roundstone’s corporate accounting activities.
Responsibilities
- Process and complete Month End responsibilities timely in accordance with monthly close schedule
- Process and review premium remittances, claims activity, and adjusting entries within Workday and ESL
- Review and record activity for multiple captive insurance programs
- Provide guidance and review the work of staff accountants
- Review financial performance of captive insurance programs
- Assist in the preparation of routine and ad-hoc analysis and reports for senior management
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a results-driven mindset
- Highly self-motivated and responsible, with a proactive approach to work
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
