What does a Suites at Rouse Director Care Worker I do?
- Provide individualized physical, psychological, and social support for residents.
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with meals, bathing, showering, dressing, grooming (includes nail care, oral hygiene, personal hygiene), ambulation, transferring, monitoring and/or passing of medications, bed making, minor treatments and incontinence care.
- Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering residents’ questions and requests; and reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.
- Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
- Enhances department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What are the requirements to be a Direct Care Worker I at the Suites at Rouse?
- Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be willing and able to obtain Direct Care Worker certification through Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Must be willing and able to become certified to pass medications.
- Must being willing and able to complete annual state required trainings per DHS regulations.
